[ SCV SYSTEMS ] -- [ SCV STAMPS ] -- [ LINKS ]

Welcome!

AlbumPager 1.1 is available now. However, to keep the cost down we have not invested in fancy packaging. You can receive a copy by email (the file size is about a meg), and receive a manual and disk in a clear sleeve.

Sorry - we've been moving around a bit, and I am very busy with another project, so phone ordering is not available right now. Please use the online ordering system. Thanks.

The objective of version 1.X is to offer a program that can create basic stamp album pages. The program should be easy to use, and at a reasonable price.

All feedback should go to scv@scvs.com.

Current Version:1.1, April 2001

Some Basic Info:

AlbumPager is a Windows95/98 program which allows you to create a stamp album with any number of pages. On each page, you can place "text objects" and "stamp boxes".

A text object can contain a few lines of text, with the top line being printed in a larger font. These are generally used to describe stamps and give the date of issue. Here is a sample:

A stamp box is an actual area designed to hold a stamp. It can contain several lines of text (as many as you can fit), and will automatically center the text for you. A box can also hold a picture. Boxes can be rectangular, triangular, or diamond-shaped. Here is a sample:

Now, with these two basic types of objects, here are some of the features of AlbumPager:

  • You can create text, boxes, and whole sets of neatly-arranged boxes by clicking a single button;
  • There are multiple alignment buttons to help line up your objects;
  • You can drag with the mouse to select objects, and drag selected objects to new positions;
  • You can use the arrow keys to precisely move or resize selected objects;
  • Page setup can configure margins, borders, page title, and basic fonts;
  • Convenient thumbnails of each page will help you quickly find the page you want to work on;
  • Cut, copy and paste multiple objects;
  • A variety of basic line styles to choose from
I used to use PageMaker to build album pages, but I was lucky if I could create 3 to 4 pages per hour. I've designed AlbumPager to be quick, and I can regularly use it to put together 6 or 7 pages an hour.
