Quick Start Guide (0.95)

Here are the basic things you need to know to get working in AlbumPager quickly…

There are two types of objects which you can put on an album page layout:

Box Object a space where a stamp will go, can include text or a picture
Text Object any other piece of text on the page

Using the mouse & keyboard:

The main window is a blank page layout where you manipulate all the objects on your album pages. To select, move & edit objects, use these actions:

SELECTING THINGS:

To select one object: Click on it
To select another object: Ctrl-Click
To select a group of objects: Click outside of objects, drag box around objects

MOVING THINGS:

To drag items to new location: Hold down Shift key, drag with mouse
To nudge items: Use the Nudge toolbar, or Ctrl plus arrow keys
To resize items: Use Shift plus arrow keys
To align objects: Select them, and use one of the align buttons
To change pages: Choose the page from the list of pages at lower left.

EDITING THINGS:

To Edit objects: Select them, press ENTER
To edit the page layout: Go to File Menu: Page Setup
To change measurement units: Go to File Menu: Page Setup
To add a picture to a box: Select box, press ENTER, enter filename in Picture field

ADDING THINGS:

To add a new Box: Go to Objects Menu: New: Box, or click New Box button
To add a new piece of Text: Go to Objects Menu: New: Text, or click New Text button
To add a set of Boxes: Go to Objects Menu: New: Set, or click New Set button
To add a new page: Go to Objects Menu: Insert Pages

PRINTING:

To print a page: Select the page, click the Print button
To print whole album: (not implemented in Version 0.95)
